Bellow is a list of "classic" books. In addition to these books good sources are:
  1. - Contains documentation for the standard library and various tutorials.
  2. (Note - it's about Microsoft's implementation of C. They claim to conform to ANSI C.) It is very convenient and clear source of information in many cases.

Considered as the "Bible of C". Also called K&R or "The white book". Very good as a tutorial and as a reference book. Book website here.

Peter Prinz & Tony Crawford "C in a Nutshell", 1st edition, O'reilly 2005.

Very good tutorial, includes the using of gcc and gdb.
