Bellow is a list of "classic" books. In addition to these books good sources are:
- http://www.cplusplus.com - Contains documentation for the standard library and various tutorials.
- http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/vstudio/fw5abdx6.aspx (Note - it's about Microsoft's implementation of C. They claim to conform to ANSI C.) It is very convenient and clear source of information in many cases.
Brian W. Kernighan & Dennis M. Ritchie "The C Programming Language", 2nd edition, Prentice Hall, 1989.
Considered as the "Bible of C". Also called K&R or "The white book". Very good as a tutorial and as a reference book. Book website here.
Peter Prinz & Tony Crawford "C in a Nutshell", 1st edition, O'reilly 2005.
Very good tutorial, includes the using of gcc and gdb.
Mike Banahan; Declan Brady; Mark Doran. "The C book", 2nd edition.
